 Help bring experts to needy areas: Trade for Travel will trade Frequent Flyer Miles for Villa Vouchers in order to fly educational experts and trainers for professional training especially to areas desperate for teacher professional development.  The trade conversion is 7,500 miles for every $100 voucher. Please note that some airlines don’t allow transfers.  American Airlines is a preferred carrier of the Trade for Travel program because of its Caribbean connections and ease of transfer.

 

Donate laptop computers to needy schools:  Computers offer critical learning and research.  Unfortunately, there are many schools around the world that don’t yet have computers. Today there are 1000’s of computer based learning programs that can help kids in overcrowded classes and/or with poorly educated teachers. Trade for Travel provides $200 for every used laptop computer donated. Computer must have wirelessly capability and CD drives.

 

School Supply Donations: Donating a 30 lbs. suitcase full of library books, math manipulatives, Lego building blocks, science equipment, etc… to your vacation destination (such as the Dominican Republic) is another great way to earn Villa Vouchers.  Each suitcase of supplies is worth a $100 Villa Voucher. 

 

 

Barter a Service or Product for the Villa: Outside of the Trade For Travel program, the managers at FDC will consider trading services and supplies for areas needed by the villa such as marketing opportunities, graphic art work, search engine optimization, quality sheets and towels, etc…
